About the role

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering complex automation solutions for production facilities and industrial processes. You will work closely with customers and multidisciplinary project teams to develop, design, and implement automation systems where reliability, efficiency, and compliance are business-critical.
The role can be tailored to your background and interests. You may be a technical specialist with deep expertise in automation systems or take on a broader technical leadership role with responsibility for system solutions, coordination, and project deliveries. Regardless of your profile, you will be expected to take ownership, work independently, and act as a key technical contributor throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

•    Design, program, configure, and commission automation solutions for process industries.
•    Take technical ownership of automation deliveries from concept and design through implementation, testing, and commissioning.
•    Work with DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems, primarily Siemens PCS7, ABB 800xA, and Emerson DeltaV.
•    Coordinate project activities, monitor progress, budgets, and resource requirements, and ensure high-quality deliverables and documentation.
•    Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including process, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC disciplines, and provide technical leadership and mentoring to colleagues and subcontractors when required.

Who We Are Looking For

• Relevant post-secondary education
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automation field
• Strong experience with DCS, PLC, or SCADA platforms, preferably Siemens PCS7, ABB 800xA, or Emerson DeltaV.
• Experience delivering automation projects within process industries such as Life Science, pharmaceuticals, energy, chemicals, or other regulated environments.
• Experience with GMP, GAMP, batch automation, or BMS/FMS systems within regulated industries is highly advantageous.
• Very good communication skills in English and Swedish
