Aseptic BSL3 filling facility in Sweden

Based on KeyPlants’ experience in containment strategy for Bio Safety Level (BSL) 3  products, a multinational life science company chose us to design and build an aseptic formulation and filling facility for highly potent compounds.

The new production unit for botulinum neurotoxin, is a pilot plant and facility for new product launches. It was installed in cleanroom space in an existing building in Uppsala, Sweden.

One of the challenges was to ensure production with an Occupational Exposure Level (OEL) in line with FDA regulations.
