Junior Automation Engineer

KeyPlants Automation are looking for a junior automation engineer for an excellent development opportunity, working from our office based in central Stockholm.

KeyPlants is an international project management and process design company which delivers both conventional and modular projects to the life science industry. We work in all parts of the world, and our customers are both big pharma companies and smaller companies that are based in Sweden as well as globally.

The suitable candidate will join a highly skilled automation group within a multi-discipline project team to deliver a full manufacturing facility from design through to final qualification.  The project will be a fantastic learning ground for a Graduate / Junior level Automation Engineer to develop, experiencing the full project execution cycle and working closely with other project disciplines such as process and electrical and instrumentation.

Graduate Engineering level upwards with relevant experience in automation projects or pharmaceutical and other GMP regulated industry experience will be considered and are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include:

  • Member of a project team tasked supporting the design and build of the Siemens PCS 7 system
  • Design and Testing of control system software including control modules, equipment modules, graphics, alarms, safety interlocks etc.
  • Generating detailed design documents and qualification documents.
  • Executing FAT and qualification tests
  • Ensure that automation systems and associated documents are designed in compliance with all relevant GMP standards
  • Provide technical support to other department members

Requirements

  • Suitability degree qualified engineer
  • Graduate level upwards with relevant experience in automation project/s or pharmaceutical, other GMP regulated industry is ideal
  • Some experience with Siemens PCS 7 would be an advantage
  • Experience with other automation systems would also be advantageous
  • Candidate should be a self-starter with excellent communication skills
  • She/he should work well in a team environment
  • Fluency in both Swedish and English
  • Ability to participate in cross functional teams

What You’ll Do

As a project manager or project engineer at KeyPlants, your job will likely be as varied as our assignments and projects in Sweden and around the world. You would:

  • manage projects or design teams
  • design Life Science and advanced technology facilities
  • work closely with our clients as a consultant on their projects
  • execute commissioning and validation of equipment and systems

Our team members typically:

  • spend their first years in process engineering with support of our senior engineers, executing commissioning and validation
  • move into new assignments after two to eight years of experience.
  • qualify for additional positions after 10 or more years of experience, including design manager, project manager, lead engineer, or sales manager.
